The UK is set to progress with employing the entire amount of seized Russian holdings to aid Ukraine's military campaign, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a joint statement, the heads of state of the UK, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany emphasized that this coordinated action would increase strain on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and compel Moscow to engage in negotiations.

They clarified that the decision would be executed in tight collaboration with the America.

UK sanctions have frozen in excess of £25bn of Russian resources since the Russian government launched its comprehensive attack against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, up to this point, funds allocated to the Ukrainian government using Russian assets had solely been sourced from gains and dividends earned on them.

Sir Keir assured Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, France, and Germany were in agreement in their goal to push forward toward utilizing the full value of the seized Moscow's national assets to end the war.

He noted that more restrictions soon would apply more pressure on Russia.

This statement comes after European Union representatives convened in the Danish capital recently to debate utilizing seized Russian funds for a 140-billion-euro loan to the Ukrainian nation.

In the previous month, President Donald Trump called on Group of Seven partners to seize or employ seized Russian assets, according to media sources.

The total of immobilized Russia's holdings in the Europe is assessed to be nearly €211bn.

The Russian government carried out large-scale aerial attacks throughout Ukraine on that day, causing electricity outages in many areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and several other zones.

While applauding the United Kingdom's strong support for Kyiv, he noted it should demonstrate clearly that it would participate in the system, as well as impose further measures on Moscow.
